- WinSTRUDL has unlimited capability in both 2D and 3D. Its has truss, beam, and plate (slab and shear wall) elements.
- WinSTRUDL does static, P-delta, dynamic analysis including frequency, RSA,
and time history.
- WinSTRUDL designs
concrete and steel according to ACI and AISC
codes.
- WinSTRUDL has the most extensive moving load capability.
- WinSTRUDL is a collection of 32-bit Windows programs that is
4 to 5 time faster than most of the 16-bit programs.
WinStrudl consists of 10 programs. They are: WMaster, WinFrame, WinEd,
WSTRUDL, WinPost, Plot, WinBeam, ASD, LRFD, and ACI.

| WMaster (shown above) is the management program
for WinStrudl. It helps organize your projects. WinFrame lets you
define your model and load in graphic mode.
WinEd is a Windows-based text editor that's integrated with WinPlot
and tools.
WSTRUDL is a structural and analysis program capable of doing 2D and
3D Truss/Frame/Plate elements for both static and dynamic problems.
WinPost is a post processor of WSTRUDL. It generates enveloped
moment and shear diagrams and is integrated into ASD, LRFD, and ACI.
WinPlot is a graphical utility program for WinStrudl.
WinBeam is a continuous beam program.
ASD is an AISC allowable steel design program. It is capable of
doing both code check and sizing.
LRFD is an AISC LRFD steel design program. It is capable of
doing both code check and sizing.
ACI is an ACI concrete design program. It includes concrete
designs of beam, column, footing, and load-moment diagrams. |
WinStrudl's
Unique Features
100% pure 32-bit programs offer true multitasking and processing speeds of up
to 5 times faster than conventional structural analysis programs. Most of your
problems can be solved in less than a few seconds. For bigger problems, speed is
important. Using WinSTRUDL, you may be able to run the problem a few times a day.
Using others, you may not even get an answer the next day!
Unlimited capability: Known to solve
structures of more than 20,000+ joints, 20,000+ plates, 30,000+ memebrs, and 10,000+ load
cases! Capability is only limited by your hardware.
Complete Windows compatibility.
WinStrudl is written entirely in C/C++ which makes it work with other Windows
applications. WinStrudl will work on Windows 3.x, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT
Workstation, and NT Server!
WinStrudl gives you three ways to
generate input. You can use the traditional input method with our text editor,
WinEd. You can also input your data in a spreadsheet style with WinEdTool. Or,
you can use a graphical model generation approach with WinFrame.
The visual/graphical interface of
WinStrudl can be fully customizable. You can change the colors of any feature in
the program and save it to a color scheme. This lets you color coordinate your
joints, members, plates, or whatever.
Animation of the deformed/mode shape is
available.
If you ever need help, you can always
click the help tab to access our comprehensive help menu. This online documentation
is only two clicks away.
WinStrudl gives you the freedom to
compile your documentation with both text and graphics for a truly stunning report.
Both batch design and interactive design
are available.
16 digits of accuracy in WinStrudl
calculations. You will be surprised at how many programs are still rounding off at 8
digits of accuracy. Rest assured, WinStrudl rounds at 16.
The MIS (Model Identification System)
enables you to ask for the graphic of "Plan A," "Roof Truss," or
"Floor 200" by names.
Many of WinStrudl's unique commands are
developed to meet the needs of transportation and building applications. Contact us for details.
More
flexibility, more capability, more ease-of-use
- WinStrudl analysis is able to
handle any combination of units including English and metric
units. Its steel design is in English unit only and its concrete
design can be in both metric and English.
- Unit can be changed dynamically during
the run.
- Bars size can be in metric and you can
specify your own bar sizes. When designing, you may also select
from a specific group of bars.
- The node number need not to be
consecutive. You may specify 1, 100, 5, 14000, etc. In
WinStrudl, the node numbering
optimization is done internally.
- You can also number your members (or
plates) anyway you want.
- You can mix bar elements and plates in
the same model to perform a complete 3D analysis.
- You can add your own library to
WinStrudl. The added member properties library can be used to
call out the AX, AY, AZ, IX, IY, and IZ properties. However, WinStrudl is
not able to perform code check on these members. WinStrudl only checks standard
AISC members.
- You may specify as many different
materials as you want.
- You can ask for 100's of modes.
WinStrudl accepts both RSA
(response spectrum) and time history loads. For RSA loads, you can
ask for either SRSS or CQC combination.
- We accept linearly varied loads on member.
